------------------------- Voice Clock! Version 1.1 ------------------------- Copyright 1993, Microvision Software - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Voice Clock! is a Microsoft Windows program whose purpose is to announce the time of day at 1 minute, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour intervals, using digitized human speech reproduced through a sound card or using Microsoft's Speaker Driver for most 286 or 386 computers. The program will function in all Windows modes: real, standard, or enhanced. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - There are 26 files in the archive: VCLOCK.EXE - The executable program. ASSORTED.WAV - Assorted wave Files 0-19,20,30,40,50 README.TXT - This file. To install the program, simply copy all files into the same directory, then start the program as you would any other windows program (i.e. place an entry into the Program Manager and double-click it, or select File/Run from the Program Manager menu and type the full pathname of VCLOCK.EXE as the command line). Voice Clock has two windows (1) LARGE WINDOW- In its large window system settings can be made. The announcement interval may be set to 1, 15, 30 or hour; the starting default is NONE. (2) SMALL WINDOW - When the focus is directed to another program or window the small clock will appear-time will still be announced in the background if system settings are set. When the program is first started, a logo banner will appear for about 10 seconds. A Voice asking "Have You Registered?" will be announced on un- registered versions. The banner will disappear and the clock will appear. At this point, Voice Clock is running with default settings. If you want to hear an announcement without waiting for a time interval, put the mouse cursor over the LARGE WINDOW FORM and press the mouse button; Voice Clock! will now announce the current time. This program was originally written as a tool to help me keep up with the time while I was programming and working under Windows. After looking at many of the so called :"digital clocks" that produced poor quality sound, I decided to write my own. I showed it a few friends of mine ( they loved it) and the rest is history! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I would like to thank the hundreds of users whose input made this program possible.
